Statements to press from family
Though we do believe that John is innocent,this takes nothing away
from the grief we feel for The Behrman family. Their loss is a loss to all
of us. This was a senseless crime. It should not have happened. Our
hearts go out to the family, and our prayers for their strength and
comfort.
With that being said, we want you to know that
we are committed to proving his innocence. He did not commit this
crime and has claimed his innocence repeatedly. We hope to help locate
who did this. We want justice for Jill, but we also want justice for John!
There is no evidence linking him to this crime, actually, it was stated,
" a scintilla of evidence". Yet the verdict was allowed. How with a
SCINTILLA of evidence can you convict a person for 65 years?? This is
one of the many things we intend to bring to light on this site. There
has been wrong doing after wrong doing regarding this entire case. We
want justice.

"I believe that my brother John Myers is innocent. I have always believed
this, and will continue to support and fight for his justice. It is sad that
the jury my brother received took their after hours more seriously than
their time in the courtroom. It is appalling that Judge Burnham turned a
blind eye to their actions, stating that their behavior did not effect the
jurors and their ability to "preserve, (and) process the evidence" It
saddens me that this witch hunt ended in this way, and I believe with all
my being that my brother will be cleared of these charges and the real
killer will be found out. I hope and pray that anyone with information
will come forward. I love my brother, and believe that he is innocent."

My brother, John Myers, was recently sentenced for a murder he did not
commit. I would like to set the record straight with the media, as well as
the public about my support of my brother. Since the beginning of this
entire ordeal, I have not once doubted the innocence of my brother. Despite
the way it may have been reported, or conveyed to
anyone by any other means. I have and still do, believe in his innocence
and will continue to back him one hundred percent. I cannot begin to
understand the pain over the loss of ones child and my heart goes out to
the Behrman family for the lose of their daughter Jill. I would like the
public to know, that I feel as though I’ve been sentenced right along with
my brother. The things that were allowed to take place during his trial
were a slap in the
face to our family, John and anyone who placed their faith in the
system. His being taken away from his family has hurt us deeply…
and we will continue to fight for his freedom.
If anyone has information on the true identity of the person, or persons,
who committed this crime, please come forward… do the right thing so
that an innocent man can have his life back.

I believe with all my heart that my nephew, John Myers, is innocent of
the crime for which he was convicted. I love my family very much, and
would not presume to try and understand the agony and pain they have
faced these last few months. I pray that anyone with information
concerning this crime, please come forward. Let us right two wrongs.
May we find the person or persons that are truly responsible for this
heinous crime, and may we right the injustice that has been done in
