Bridge in question is was NOT even built in 2000, when John supposedly took Carly over it.
This type of bridge does have a DISTINCT sound, there is no possible way this was the same bridge
John and Carly drove over.
Rick Lang testified that John's ex-girlfriend Carly reacted visibly when he drove her over this bridge - stating that it
was the area that John took her and that she knew it was because the bridge has a very distinctive
sound. (Please keep in mind this was Rick Lang's testimony - not Carly's). This bridge does have a very
distinctive sound (almost a hum) - however, this bridge was built in 2001 as verified by a representative of the
Morgan County Highway Department. The trial testimony was that Carly was driven over the bridge (by John) in
the spring of 2000. This is not even the same bridge!
During the trial, Carly testified that John took her on a ride, at night, through three counties (in spring 2000) and
ended up at a place that looked similar to the one she went to with Lang in Feb 2006. On cross examination she
admitted that she could not say that it was the exact location. She recalled there being trees on both sides of the
pull in (this area does not). She also remembered a creek (not one here). She NEVER said it was the same area,
she said it looked like a place John had taken her.

that when he drove over the bridge, Carly visibly reacted - grabbing the dashboard of his car. He stated he
backed up to be sure that she did recognize the sound. This would have been sometime between 2004 &
2005.
